Steel Welder

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Steel Welder to join our team in the oil and gas industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing welding tasks on various steel components, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform welding operations on structural steel and piping in accordance with industry standards and project specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols.
• Conduct pre-welding preparations, including fitting and aligning materials.
• Utilize various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick) to achieve optimal results.
• Inspect welds for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment, following all safety regulations and protocols.
• Collaborate with team members and other trades to ensure project timelines are met.
• Document work performed and maintained accurate records of materials used and hours worked.
• Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge of welding techniques and safety practices.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Steel Welder, preferably in the oil and gas sector.
• Relevant welding certifications (e.g., AWS, ASME).
• Strong knowledge of welding processes and techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
• Familiarity with safety standards and practices in industrial settings.
• Physical stamina and the ability to work in challenging environments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
